Challenge
A studio's website is its longest-running pitch.
Every interaction, every transition, every typographic choice is a signal to potential clients about how the studio thinks. The challenge was to create something genuinely distinctive, not just well-executed, that could communicate creative ambition while remaining fast, functional, and accessible.
Approach
The W3 Award category, Best Use of Emerging Technology, gave a frame: the technology had to serve the design, not the other way around. I explored AI-assisted generative visuals, advanced CSS capabilities, and motion choreography techniques that pushed what a studio site could feel like.
Every effect was tied to communicating something specific about the studio's identity. The result was a site that used emerging web technology purposefully, not as decoration.
Outcome
The DDamoah Studios site won the W3 Silver Award for Best Use of Emerging Technology. Beyond the award, the site became the studio's most effective business development asset, with prospective clients consistently citing it as a key reason for making contact.
